Just one winner on the top end Sunday, but we were able to get home four exacta boxes of $5, $95, $24 & $56.

Thanks to all who said hello to me in Florida on my recent sojourn ! It means a lot.

AMAZING news for us here. If you loved the annual homage I write about my father every year for SaratogaBets , you'll be happy to know that I was asked to do a reading for "Our American Stories" (1.7 million weekly listeners), and guess what -- here it is !

I'd like to leave this bit of info here for y'all. When we're using the DRF Formulator platform while writing our columns, if we say "Sprints", for the most part we mean any one turn race, and when we say "Routes", we mean any TWO turn race. ( For example, we consider a 1 1/8th mile race at Belmont an elongated sprint, and a 6 1/2 furlong race at a Charles Town a route. ) We feel this way, because in our eyes, it's the number of turns that necessitate more energy than being relaxed on a straightaway. Sometimes the sample size for our study can be too large to manually break down, so there may be a few from one category in another, but usually the end result is pretty much the same!

Today's Beatable Favorite(s): Race 1 - #2 Stole E

I want to thank those that read my column, and have recently opened up accounts as a result of their fondness for what they see here. If you have any questions at any time, you can reach me here on Disqus, or on Twitter @brooklyncowboy1. For those who dig the scene here, and would like to be part of it, registration on our home page is easy, and if you'd like, feel free to include my name in the referral box, and let me know, so I can try and get ya' some cool swag!

Aqueduct - 3/8

Race  1

2.Powerully Built

#5 INCIDENTALLY begins his working life today, and does so with a hefty Tomlinson figure of 374, a few snazzy morning moves, New Youk's leading rider, and an advantageous draw. Oh, incidentally, the dam was 2 for 8 in dirt dashes, and this one is a full to a 4-18 sprinter on the sand ( 117 large ). Ain't facing much. #3 POWERFULLY BUILT is another one starting things out today, and also brings in some nice breezes. Double D with a triple here on Sunday. #1 LOVEJOY may spice things up underneath.  BEATABLE FAVORITE: #2 STOLE E will be led over by a conditioner who's 0-10 with 2nd off the L/O maiden special weight stock who were ITM last out.

Race  2

1.Jump Ruler

2.Crimson Frost

3.New Year's Wish

#4 JUMP RULER has hit the board in 10 of 11 with her best work coming at this trip and over this strip. Comes in today off back to back career best efforts, and rates a slight nod in a heat where any of four can win. #3 CRIMSON FROST is another extremely steady sort who....who...actually, that's enough -- just that she's really honest. #1 NEW YEAR'S WISH ( scond half of the uncoupled Rice entry ) shoots for the grand salami this afternoon, but we'll leave beneath, given the reduction in the speed figure last time out ( against softer company, no less ).

Race  3

1.Creative Style

2.Shanghai Check

3.Power Boss

We won't be using any more than these three for all our rolling action, and as they all have strong DRF Formulator stats, lets get right to 'em. #4 CREATIVE STYLE: Rudy Rod is 7:4-1-1 with first off the claim/first time blinkers stock ( 50 days or less ) with the winners coming back $20, $4, $4 & $45 ( the last of which we had up a The Spa last summer, cinching our flat bet profit for the meet ). #6 SHANGHAI CHECK is pretty much a professional maiden these days, but it's hard to ignore that 15:9-4-3 trainer stat which has this barn at just thatw/maiden claiming dirt stock who hit the board < 40 days back & are 7-2 or beneath. #2 POWER BOSS: 10% Contessa has won 3 of 9 with Aqueuct based, second off the L/O maiden claiming dirt runners who missed the baccala last time out ( $9 & $8 x 2 ).  NOTE: AS OF 11:28, DUE TO A LATE SCRATCH THE #1 WILL BE OUR 3RD SELECTION.

Race  4

1.Never Felt Better

2.Major Flirt

Once again, we won't be delving any deeper than this troika...  #2 NEVER FELT BETTER was a daylight clear runner up first time outta the box for Handal, and gets a weight break while taking a smart hike up the ladder. Two returnees from that heat ( also rans ) came back to improve by an average of 45% in the speed figure department next time out ( for whatever that's worth ), and the race goes through this chap. #7 MAJOR FLIRT is a $150,000 auction purchase who can be all yours for a third of that today, so right off the bat, caveat emptor. That being said, this one boasts a 383 Tommy and our favorite slot & jock, so why not incorporate? #4 WISECRACK has made the super in five of six, and is a sensible selection for the show dough.

Race  5

1.Shimmering Moon

2.Leah's Dream

3.My Roxy Girl

#2 SHIMMERING MOON was awful in the most recent, but that could possibly be attributed to the awkward onset. Mare has done fine work at this trip, and finished 3rd in the lone try when up for sale. Slimmest of margins. #5 LEAH'S DREAM comes in today off a visually impressive wire to wire job against state bred foes, and despite the hike, rates a big shot off teh solid number earned that day. Gal is 2 for 2 in second off the L/O tries on the sand, is 2 for 2 when starting from the outermost two slots, and positively crushes it at this trip and over this strip. Must use. #3 MY ROXY GIRL is our favorite horse in training -- anywhere. Gal gives it her all every single time, and the way she extends herself in the lane shows just that. Mitch was a bit hard on himself about that last breeze when chatting with us after the most recent, as he felt it took a bit of starch out of the collar. That being said, four year old has done her best work right here ( 4-13 ) in comparison to other tracks ( 0-9 ). An ITM placing is well within reach for this 300K earner ( the hard way ).

Race  6

1.Moolah Schmoolah

2.Votre Coeur

3.Claire's Kitty

Yet again, this troika and no further for all our bets. #1 MOOLAH SCMOOLAH has never been entered this cheaply and has hit the board in 2 of 3 off the shelf, while closing out the exacta in both tries when beginning from the pine. Mild selection with Franco getting the call. #5 VOTRE COEUR was kept in jail after the purchase by Rice, and is now returning 32% beneath the last offering. Figures off that deal, but buyer beware. #3 CLAIRE'S KITTY is another taking the plung for today's second off the break foray.  NOTE: AS OF 11:30, DUE TO TWO KEY SCRATCHES, WE HAVE AMENDED OUR SELECTIONS TO 4-8-6.

Race  7

1.Honey Graeme

2.Our Girl Abby

3.Nth Degree

#7 HONEY GRAEME has partaken in the exacta in four straight, is 3:1-0-1 when staring from the outside, and goes from an apprentice to a journeyman today ( always a popular angle of ours ). Pillar to post for K.C. ?  #2 OUR GIRL ABBY is four for five at this dx. ( 0-6 at other distances ) and seems to like Ozone Park as well. Sensible addition. #6 NTH DEGREE like this dist. better than others and may spice things up beneath.

Race  8

1.Icey Cash

2.My Amanjena

3.Dash for Dollars

#5 ICEY CASH outran his odds when finishing 3rd in the second off the L/O try last time out ( @ 46-1 ), and did so without the miraclke drug for the first time. Most timid of selections in a deal that we have no true read on. #7 MY AMANJENA hasn't shown much in either start to date, but catches a glib surface for the second time today and may jazz things up a bit. #9 DASH FOR DOLLARS was a daylight clear runner up in this race 20 days ago & deserves your respect once again.
